Cycling from Reno to Lake Tahoe via Rt, 431

      Reno Jun 7, 2013 at 6:34 PM

Will be in Reno for 2 weeks and was wondering if Rt. 431 running from south Reno to Lake Tahoe is a suitable road to ride up to the lake. Is there a bike lane for the entire distance? What is the average grade?

I want to hire a limousine for a party of 12 for one hour for a trip along The Strip. However, the companies I have approached so far are a minimum 2 hours. Can anyone recommend anyone?

      Wandering The Strip

Las Vegas May 19, 2013 at 1:31 PM

I just did my first Vegas trip to meet relations from Canada, LA, and UK. Mostly fun. Stayed at the Golden Nugget at INCREDIBLY cheap rates. Didn't lose a dime on gambling. And certainly did not drink up to "the norm". Because of my lodgings and drinking habits, I never had an urgent need for the "porcelain convenience". But you can see I'm not at all a typical visitor. What do the typical visitors do? Are businesses OK with any wanderer on the strip walking in and saying "can I use your bathroom"? (Unrelated note: Had a REALLY nice buffet there!)

      Just a place to sleep

      Reno May 21, 2013 at 9:35 PM

What is the best plan for a quick night's sleep in Reno? I am just passing thru on my way to Las Vegas. The big casinos offer very low rates but all I really need is a bed for the night and a shower. Are there any small motels near Reno that are clean, secure area to park overnight at a budget price?

    • Transportation from Las Vegas Airport to Henderson, Nevada

by reevesderek Online Now Apr 29, 2008 at 10:09 AM

I was wondering if anyone could give me any pointers for the best way to get from the Las Vegas Airport (LAS) to Henderson, Nevada on Lake Las Vegas. From what I understand this is just under 20 miles north of the strip in Vegas. I'm headed to the Montelago Village Resort for a wedding. I'm looking to avoid traveling 20 miles in a cab and spending too much money. Is there a bus or something that heads up there? If so, do you know any details? bus name, number, cost, where it picks up, etc. I should say I arrive on Friday, July 4th (a holiday). So maybe there's a holiday schedule I should know about...? Any suggestions? Thank you! d

    • Vacation Home

by husum Online Now Apr 28, 2006 at 10:48 PM

We are in the process of looking for a vacation home in Henderson, Nevada. The location of one which we like on the internet was described as being right off the 215 at Valle Verde. Is that a "good", safe part of town? Having never been there, I'd appreciate any help.
