There is no specific and active forum for Olsztyn (why travel there any way?) but may be one of Polish people here have any experience : looking for hostel or other form of cheap accommodation for 6 days, close to the old town and center. Any advise, based on experience?
I'm from Portugal and I'm going to Krakow in June.
I would have to exchange euros into Zlotys.
The average value in Portugal for 1€ is 3.65 PLN.
Can anyone tell witch is the exchange value of 1€ if I made the exchange in Krakow?
A friend of mine told me there are a lot of exchange houses in the main square of Krakow...
Maybe i'll go in Bystrzyca Kłodzka this summer (i have one more week do decide), i'll be there for 2 months so can you give me more information about this small city.

I am travelling to Warsaw at the end of the summer. I have to book a place to stay for 8 nights. I was told to get an apartment hotel but I am not too certain if it is a good idea. As someone who is travelling for the first time alone, I don't know what areas are going to be safe for a young girl. People tell me to book a hotel for the time of my visit but my budget is another issue to consider. Do you recommend staying at a hotel or a an apartment hotel? What is the safest and cheap area for a young female with high security and low rate of pick-pocketing?
I have a plan to travel from Gdansk to Warsaw by bus. anyone can advice based on his/her experience about the journey, nearby station pick & drop etc.
Thanks in advance for your support.

Hi. I read your guys' transportation posts. I will be in Gdansk this summer, and wanted to take a day trip to Hel. I was originally thinking to take the train there, and take the ferry back, but now I'm thinking bus will be a better option, so I can stop places along the way, but I also don't know how often they run, and I don't wanna get stuck somewhere. Like I said, we're only going for a day trip, and I don't want to end up getting stuck somewhere, and not actually making it to Hel. I read it takes 2-3 hours to get out there by bus, and the same by ferry. That's a big chunk of the day. I'm not exactly sure where we'd be stopping, maybe Puck, Jastarnia, and maybe another town. I was thinking about leaving early like 6 or 7. Would that be enough to get there and back? I heard the last bus leaves at 4 PM. IDK how long we would be there for. What about the last train or ferry? I was thinking about finding a hotel for the night, but if it's not necessary, I'd rather avoid it. I also read that traffic is really bad, so should we take the bus one way, and return by ferry? I wanna at least go one way by bus or train, because I heard it's more scenic. Another option could also be take a train straight to Hel, and than stop in the other villages on the way back. What would you suggest? IDK why the last bus leaves so early. Would we have enough time to see everything in a day, and make it back to Gdansk before dark?
