Where is the nearest hospital, please? Also, is there a supermarket?
It is not a big place but you will find supermarkets there. If you have a medical emergency call the univerally used EU Number 112 for assistance. Or - you could contact your travel Insurer if you have taken out cover for medical services.

The nearest hospital is in Avesta - approx. 20 km from Hedemora. There is an emergency clinic in Hedemora that is open Monday - Friday 10:00-17:00.

Mr Google found a Lidl and an ICA for me in Hedemora.

There must be more than ICA and Lidl at Hedemora even if it's a small place. If you need something bigger it's indeed Avesta and bigger again it would be Falun and Borlänge. Falun has some nice sights.
