Hi all,
My first flight from CPH- LDN on SAS is scheduled to arrive at LHR Terminal 3 at 350pm and my second flight on Singapore airlines LDN- SIN is scheduled to depart at 835pm at Terminal 3.
Will there be sufficient time for me to clear immigration and baggage from my first flight and re-check in at 635pm for my second flight? As I've heard stories that immigration at LHR takes rather long.
Your help is greater appreciated!
Thank you.
I apologize for re-posting this question but I am a newbie and I don't know how to remove my first question.
I don't think that I was very clear in that query. Please let me try again. I am landing on a BA flight at LHR Terminal 5 on Sunday mid morning. A friend, who is also flying BA, is expected to arrive at LHR Terminal 5 a couple of hours later.
Is there a comfortable place (with luggage in tow) that I can watch the screens to see the status of her flight and wait for her to clear customs we can then meet up so we can then proceed to the Heathrow Express?
Thanks everyone for your patience!
I arrive at Terminal 3 around 11:30 a.m. and my friend arrives at Terminal 4 around 12:15 p.m. Do I get my bags and go through immigration before I meet her? Where should I meet her at Terminal 4? Will she already have her bags and have gone through immigration? About how long will it take?
Where is the best place to wait for another traveler after I have cleared customs in Terminal 5?
I will arrive on July, on a Sunday at 12: 25 pm. Then I have to take my next flight ( I bought it separately) to Germany at Terminal 5, at 15:10 hrs.. Will I have the time? Or I better change my ticket to next departure that is at 19:00 hrs.
Thank you very much for your answer. I am coming from México, then Dallas, then to London. I am Mexican.
My BA flight is 10 pm. Can I check-in as early as 2 pm in the afternoon?
I'm scheduled to arrive at Heathrow at 8AM, and I'm looking to get to King's Cross to catch a train up to Alnmouth (north of Newcastle). I'd like to buy advance train tickets, but I'm not sure which train to book, as I don't know how much time to budget between deplaning, customs, and transit to Kings Cross. Any ideas?
Thanks.
I,m new to this site guys and this is my first question so please bear with me.
Ba have recently changed my flight to Las Vegas from Gatwick to Heathrow for whatever reason.I,m on a flight from Dublin which lands at T1 at 14.55 and i need to get over to T5 for a departure at 16.40.Both my flights are with Ba so i dont need to worry about bags and checkin,so could someone maybe who has experienced this or similar give me a rough time it would take and would i make this connection ok.I do understand that my inbound flight could be delayed and it would be hard to give an exact time.I,ve asked Ba for an earlier flight but they say its all they can offer. Thanks in advance for any help on this.
Sorry for the late update. Just to let you know that my bags were tagged through to destination, despite korean and BA not being partner airlines and being told by korean that the bags would need to be picked up at heathrow. Also there were no long queues at terminal 1 at that time (17:30) so everything went smoothly. Good luck for anyone with a similar query!
I have booked an international flight with AIR NZ but the first leg I'm flying with ALL NIPPON airways. Now do I check in at the airnz terminal (terminal 1) or all NIPPON terminal (terminal 3)?? Any help would be much appreciated!
Hoping someone can help before I book my flight! I'm looking at booking a ticket on Korean air from Osaka to London Heathrow and then on to Belfast with BA. It would be one ticket/itinerary so I assumed my bags would be tagged to Belfast. Since I am pregnant and travelling with a three year old I wanted to double check this. The travel agent was unsure but contacted Korean Air who think I may have to pick up my baggage in Heathrow, despite being checked in to Belfast. I find this hard to believe. Can any of you shed any light on this? Possibly because it is international to domestic? I don't recall having to do this before but haven't used heathrow in about 6 years!! Thanks in advance!
We are arriving Heathrow around 12:00 pm and need to get to Stanstead airport. Can anyone advise best way to transfer - bus? Rail? Thank you!
I was just wondering how I would get from T4 to T3 at around 3.30-4.00am. Im treating myself and staying at the hilton T4, but my flight is at T3 around 7.30 in the morning. As i understand i can use the walkway to get from the hotel to the main terminal building, but what then once im there? Does the Heathrow Express or even the Underground operate at this time of the morning or 24/7 or will there be shuttle buses available to get me from T4 to T3?
HI, hopefully someone can help. Im looking at booking a flight with United Airlines travelling from Heathrow to San Francisco and then from there on to Hawaii. I cant get my head around this paying for baggage checked. Do i have to pay everytime i check in, or as i am flying Internationally do i only have to pay to check my bags on to Hawaii? Unfortunatly my flight home involes leaving Hawaii, travelling to LA for a 2 hour stopover to get my connecting flight back to Heathrow. Do i have to pay to check my bags in a total of 4 times over my trip or just the once? I cant make head nor tail of the advice on United's website. Please help... :(
I think I made a tactical error! I months ago booked a flight from Heathrow T1. Now I've had to tack on a flight from Edinburgh earlier in the morning that arrives T5. Traveling on a US passport and not on a linked airline, I believe I have to get my luggage, clear customs/passport, get from T5 to T1 and re-check my bag. Is 2.5 hours enough? Or should I scrap the original flight from Heathrow T1 and change to a BA-related flight to at least be able to check my bag through?
We are arriving into Heathrow at 12:15 from the US and wanting to connect to a flight out of Gatwick at 14:55. We will not be checking luggage - just carryon luggage. Will there be enough time to clear customs and get to Gatwick if we prebook a taxi?
My wife and I are traveling from USA to Heathrow on British Airways. I am traveling on a U.S. passport. I am checking baggage. Was originally going to use the train to Paris but am now looking at flight options. Scheduled arrival at Heathrow is 10:00 a.m and I assume I will be arriving at Terminal 5. Want to take an Air France flight at 1:45 p.m. to Paris (assume Terminal 4) since its half the price of a similar BA flight. Will I have to go through immigration, customs, baggage claim then take a bus to Terminal 4 and then check back in. Is it reasonable to think I can do this in time for the 1:45 p.m. flight? Does BA and Air France have any type of baggage agreement where I can just switch terminals without going through immigration/customs/baggage claim? Any help would be appreciated.
I have a UK passport, my wife and daughter have US passports, as we are travelling together can they join the same passport line as me when arriving at Heathrow?
We are flying into Heathrow from the US via VA and connecting to a BA flight to Amsterdam. Since the two airlines are not partners we will not be able to check our bags through to Amsterdam. We will be going from terminal 5 to terminal 3 but will have to retrieve our bags. Will we have to go through customs? The web site heathrowairport.com/heathrow... does not show any information for this option. They seem to assume your bags are checked through. Help please!
Myself and two mates have a 3.5 hour layover at Heathrow in a few weeks. We will be arriving on United Airlines and transferring over to terminal 1 for Brussels Airlines. It will be rather early in the morning so finding a bar and drinking beer between connections might not be in the cards. Can anyone suggest a cafe in terminal 1 that someone might be able to have a sit down and a cup of coffee? Just mostly looking for something to pass the time doing without being too bored.
Hi, I'm arriving in Heathrow - T5 @05:15, in the morning @ I have 2 hours to depart from T5 (for Madrid). Is there any shop open so early in the morning (I don't know even if the duty free will be open at that hour)? As well, any suggestions for a good, not too expensive, place to eat / coffee? Someone mentioned that there are places to eat before & after security - I have to find out if I can go back after I've passed through security.... I really have to move fast because there is only 2 hours between the flights & I still need to go to the Iberia airline's ticket desk (where ever that might be) Could you please give some ideas, advices? Thank you
Three of us are flying into Heathrow on the same date at approximately the same time, but on three different airlines (United, Air Canada, and Virgin). We have private transport hired. We plan on meeting outside of Immigration & Customs. We assumed that there was only one international arrivals terminal; NOW we hope that there is only one international arrivals terminal!!! Can you provide any info please? Many thanks
what is the fastest way to transfer from t5 to t3 I am coming in on an international and transferring to an internal national. I have about 2hours and no checked bags . my ticket Say's it;s a valid connection,
My wife and I are scheduled to arrive LHR Terminal 1 (United, from Washington DC) at 7:30 AM on a Thursday. About how long should it take to clear immigration and customs, collect checked luggage and walk to the underground or bus station? Also, we need to get to Victoria Station as our hotel is within walking distance. Would the underground or a bus be less hassle for two novice American tourists?
I'm on a study abroad program and eight of my fellow students and I are all flying into Heathrow this saturday, landing at about 7 o'clock local time (terminal 3, I think). We all have visas to enter the UK, but we're wondering what the best way of getting out of Heathrow and to Russell Square. We were looking into booking a car service (a large van for all of us) directly from Heathrow since it would be cheaper than taking the Heathrow Express to Paddington and then taxis, but we're not sure how much time to allow for getting baggage and getting through customs (i.e. what time the van should arrive). I'd be open to taking the underground, but while I can carry all my luggage, I'm not sure I can fully manage it by myself. Thoughts? Ideas? I'm pretty stumped.
Hi All, How much time does it take to get from Terminal 5 to Terminal 3 please. I'm flying into Heathrow from Paris and back out to Bangkok 1h35 later. Only in transit so don't have to worry about luggage. My travel agent here in France tells me on her computer (which site ??) gives 1h15 and on the Heathrow site they give 1h30, so it looks doable, but has anyone out there actually done it ? Thanks in advance for your input.
Hi there, I am landing at T3 at 16:40 from Spain and departing at 20:00 from T4 for an international flight to New Zealand. I can't check in the bag all the way as they are completely different flights so I have to collect my bag and check it in for the following flight again. From what I have seen in Internet they say it takes around 90 mins to go from T3 to T4 but this is with conecting flights and bags checked in all the way through. I think I should have enough time but I dont really want to risk it? Do you think just over 3 hours would be enough? Thanks!!!! Myriam
hi there I want to find my own way to london from heathrow airport. I will be arriving with my sister about 1pm. this will be mid december 2011. we have been advised we need to catch the piccadilly line to london to connect with our further transport to our accommodation. In my surfing on the net I have read comments that this is the cheapest option and that i will have a very difficult time getting help to find the line and buying a ticket will be almost impossible (the comments advised that no one will tell me where to buy my ticket). we still have time to arrange a pick up but we are really keen to find our own way.
Will arrive at LHR at 5 a.m. Would like somewhere to have a shower. The hotels will only allow you to book a room for the full day I think, which I do not want.. Any ideas, please? Thanks
Does anyone know of a valet parking service that allows you to drop off at Gatwick and, 3 weeks later, allows you to pick up at Heathrow? Any suggestions gratefully received. Thanks Charlie
