We are arriving Heathrow around 12:00 pm and need to get to Stanstead airport. Can anyone advise best way to transfer - bus? Rail? Thank you!

There is an Easybus that goes to Earls Court and from there there is another Easybus that goes to Stanstead. They run at least twice an hour and cost as little as £2per trip if you make advance booking on the internet. www.easybus.com. the highest price you will pay is around £9 per trip

The National Express Coach is a good way to go, but make sure you leave plenty of time between your arrival in Heathrow and the departure in Stansted.

I would agree that the direct Heathrow>Stansted bus is by far your best option but, like Christine, would urge you to allow ample time for the journey. The absolute minimum time allowance is 5 hours. The journey itself should only take around 1.5- 2 hours...but traffic congestion is frequent on the route. I'd advise you to book tickets online in advance. Allow at least 1.5 hours between landing at Heathrow and bus departure time to allow for border control, baggage reclaim and getting yourselves to Heathrow Central bus station.
