Showering on arrival

by hkbobby Online Now Jul 12, 2011 at 3:01 AM

Will arrive at LHR at 5 a.m. Would like somewhere to have a shower. The hotels will only allow you to book a room for the full day I think, which I do not want..
Any ideas, please?

Thanks

Heathrow's website says there are showers after security in Terminal 4, or possibly inside airline VIP lounges, which you can buy a day pass.....

Thanks - but these appear to be only for departing passengers. I am arriving, and want to have a shower before heading on out by bus

Unfortunately, that link states that the only showers available are *after* security in T4 (i.e. airside).

The Arrivals FAQs on the Heathrow website state:

    >Currently, Heathrow only has public showers in the departure lounge of Terminal 4 (after security).

So I'm afraid the answer is 'no' unless the poster is willing to buy a few hours in the Heathrow Yotel, where accommodation is en suite.

    yotel.com/en/Hotels/London%2...

Yotel rooms can be booked for a minimum of 4 hours.
