Can anyone give me information about bus travel between hat yai and ranong? Does it have to be booked through a travel agent? If so can I have a name, address and telephone number? Or can I get tickets at the bus station? If so, where is this?

Hi, has Hat Yai airport any travel agencies and is it possible to save time booking a minibus direct from Hat Yai airport to Trang and then bypassing Hat Yai city?

Hello there, We arrive from Malaysia on a overnight train and booked a room in Tune hotel. Anyone has experienced staying in this chain hotel? Can we get some directions from the railway station please? Do they have tuk tuk there and how much it cost? Thanks for replies. :) LP

Hi there, I will be traveling from Singapore to Phuket by land during the new year period of 29 dec 2012 - 1 jan 2013. Will probably be taking a train through malaysia to Hat Yai (31st dec 2012) and hopefully catch a night bus from Hat Yai to Phuket ideally reaching Phuket on 1st Jan 2012. However since its the new year period would it be advisable to go ahead with this plan or will the bus companies be closed/ too chaotic? I'd really appreciate any information and feedback/alternative routes. Thanks!

Hi All, My wife and I wanted to fly from Bangkok to Penang next week, unfortunately all flights to Penang are sold out. We decided to fly to Hat Yai and try to take a taxi or minivan to Penang. Would it be possible to hire a taxi or minivan straight from the airport? We don't really want to go in to Hat Yai. If that's not possible I understood from the forum that the best place to go to for a minivan or taxi would be the minivan bus station close to the train station? We are looking to hire a taxi or minivan without sharing as it would be more comfortable. What would be the better and cheaper option? Hire whole taxi or minivan? Thanks for your help in advance.

I am planning to make a visa run crossborder to hatyai from penang. We (New Zealand Passport Holder) are arriving in Hat Yai on 6th Feb'12 morning by Train 35 International Express. I like to go to Penang from Hat Yai by Bus. I understand there are big buses as well as Mini Buses go daily to Penang. I would like to have a comfortable journey as I undersand it's 5-6 hours trip. Hi! I have been to Koh samui once via Singapore-Malaysia(JohorBahru)-Hatyai-Surat Thani-KohSamui. I took a minivan from Hatyai Town at 500bht inclusive of ferry ticket. Now im planning my 2nd trip to Koh Samui and my flight will be landing at Hatyai Airport at 1.15pm. May i know, is there any minivan service at the airport that would bring me to DongSak pier at the same price(500bht) as from HatYai Town? If i remember correctly the last ferry to samui is at 6pm. Will i be able to make it in time? or is there any better/cheaper way to do it on the same day itself? Please kindly advice! Thanks!

Hi I am part of a group of 16 + baggage, wanting to rent a bus from Hat Yai to the border (Rantau Panjang) on the 5th July. If possible we would like to travel in one bus.
