Hello I am planning a short business trip to Hannover.(from 11-17.4-Hannover fair). I will travel alone.I will be very busy during the day,but I do not know what to do during the evenings.Could you recomendet me good restaurant,bar or nightclub in Hannover?I have never been there.I am 25 and I enjoy eating out,go clubbing. I have another question: One day a would like to have a break and hire a bike.I want to make a day trip from Hannover to Steinhuder Meer and back by bike.Do you think that it is a good idea? What a about being invited to a Standparty (booth party)? Hannover is quite a nice place to live at. But it's not the biggest tourist highlight in Germany. The region around Hannover is more interesting in my view. tourismus-hannover-region.de... Lower Saxony Tourism http://www.niedersachsen-tourism.de/en/ A good deal is the Lower Saxony Ticket Single (EUR 16,00). This ticket is valid on a weekday (Mo-Fr) past 9am on all local trains in the state Lower Saxony (Niedersachsen). Hannover is a very nice city. I am not into clubbing, so I cannot tell you about nightclubs. I think, it is a nice idea to hire a kike and even to go to Steinhuder Meer, which is quite far away. But I did it once and it was very nice. On the other hand, there is much to see in Hannover. Hannover is ideal to go around by bike. I recommend to your to go to Herrenhausen Gardens, to the Zoo or just bike aournd Maschsee. I wish you a wonderful stay in Hannover. I am sorry, that I don't live in Hannover anymore, so I cannot show you around. Have fun! Ulrike

Hi Tomas, Sorry for my late reply, but I wasn't in the Hannover forum for a while. There is a VT meeting going on on the weekend of the 16th/17th in Hannover. We would be glad to meet you there.... There are many good restaurants and pubs in town so you will sure find something.
