New Year's Eve

We are planning to spent the New Year's Eve in Thailand somewhere, the best near by the beach (we heard that Pattaya is nice). Right now we live in China, near Shanghai and it is getting colder and colder. We need sun, we need fun, we would like to attend a party or a group to celebrate together the new year. Any ideas or tips will be more than welcomed :) Thanks in advance !
