Also, is there more than one access road (gate) to the Eden Project or does everyone have to approach from the same side?

    • Easiest way to get a shower?

      Heathrow May 27, 2013 at 10:28 PM

      Hello all,

I have an 8 hour layover between two long haul flights (11am-7pm). I am arriving in/leaving from T5. I would really like to take a quick shower during this stop over. l know that there are hotels landside and airside (T3) as well as lounge options.

My questions is: what is the easiest option? Will I even be allowed to go from T5 to T3 airside (and what would that entail-- ie trips through security, time, etc). Alternatively, how much of a hassle would it be to go landside? Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Is there a comfortable place (with luggage in tow) that I can watch the screens to see the status of her flight and wait for her to clear customs we can then meet up so we can then proceed to the Heathrow Express?

Spaces in Portsmouth Ferry Carp park at peak times

I'm thinking of going to France for a few days in the May half term holiday from Portsmouth. I don't intend taking my car to France so expect to leave it at the ferry terminal and travel as foot passengers. I can accept the cost of the on-site car parking, but I wonder whether the car park ever gets full? We'll be arriving *early* morning after a 3 hour dash down to the ferry so it would be a pain if we arrived and found it full. There seems to be no concept of pre-booking a space.

Portsmouth for a day in JUne...

      Portsmouth Apr 18, 2010 at 4:07 AM

Hi guys :) We are going to board a Bilbao mini cruise in Portsmouth second week of June, so I have a few questions, if anyone who is a local has any info, I would be really greatful. First of all, how is the weather suppose to be in June? Is it worth to pay a night B&B to spend the night and then tour Portsmouth the day after? we booked National Express from London & back, because when I went to have a look at the trainline info, the train return was gonna cost us per person almost as much as the whole cruise costs (cruise + meals £110 per person- train return almost £80 per person) The National Express ended up costing £9.50 per person, as they have special prices for registered disabled and my daughter is a teen, what I am trying to establish is that we are in low budget, so, if a B&B costs more than £50 a night I would have to pass... I didn't think Portsmouth would have much to offer but coming here to read about the weather I see it can be an interesting place to look around? I'm not in a wheelchair but have mobility problems, but someone here in the forum mentioned tours, again, if anyone has info on this, would be grateful :) Thanks in advance.

      Parking for Continental Ferries

      Portsmouth Feb 12, 2010 at 6:33 AM

Hi, We are going to St Malo with Brittany Ferries in a couple of months. When we went to Bilbao in 2007 we parked right next door to the ferry terminal and the parking was surprisingly cheap. I checked a couple of the ferry operators' websites and they all point to the same parking company who charge £10 per day! I am assuming that they are talking about the same place we parked before. Did I park somewhere else last time, or have they increased the prices by a whole lot? Is there anywhere cheaper than this to safely park our car for 5 days? Thanks in advance
