Has anyone been fishing on a charter boat. How much did it cost and what was your experience

Visited Hamilton Island, We chartered a liveaboard cat ourselves and fished off it. Did alright with smallish GT's etc. and did no trolling for big stuff. My mate lived up there and used to do well on Spanish Mak and small Marlin sometimes even in his little boat. The boat on Hamilton Island is Renegade - go to http://www.renegadecharters.com.au/. It was about3000 per day for 4 people I think. If you are heading further down near Harvey Bay, Nomad Sportsfishing do some fantastic GT Charters for big fish off Fraser Island.
