Can anyone help, I am looking for Information On Trains leaving Hallstatt for Salzburg and can a Einfach-Raus-Ticket be used and purchased before hand (pre dated) as I believe there Is no station at such to buy tickets.........:))
The official Austrian railway website in English will give you train times, details and fares: http://www.oebb.at/en/index.jsp Journey time is from 2h 17m, with one change at Attnang-Puchheim. The information here: oebb.at/en/Tickets/Groups/Ei... details the validity of the Einfach-Raus ticket. The first segment of this journey is on R or REX trains, but the second section is on IC trains. From the information given on OEBB I suspect you will not be able to use the ticket for the whole journey.

As stated above it is technically possible only with the Einfach-Raus Ticket to arrive to Salzburg. There is a special link at the website where you need to chose at the product options "Einfach Raus Ticket" and then you will only be given connection where this type of journey is possible.
