we will be driving through salzburg's lake district. i learned that parking is a problem in the villages. i would like to know if anyone can recommend me where to park at each of the villages around the lake district, such as hallstatt, satzkammergut, bad ischl, hallein, etc.
Hi You will find Hallstatt to be a fantastic place, we only had a few hours there, we were in a 4 wheel drive with a guide and he just found a park in the street, near the centre, it was not busy. Hi, The villages are small, take the first vacant parking spot. Hallstatt is fabulous, if you have time take the return ferry trip over the lake to the train station.You will get some great photographs, we wished we had time to take the ferry. Good Luck, Mike
