Driving to Hallstatt

Dear all I live in Munich and am thinking of driving to Hallstatt for holiday. Is it possible to go directly there or must I take a ferry from somewhere and leave my car? Would appreciate any response;)

    Yes you can drive direct to Hallstatt. This should take you about 2.5 hrs depending on traffic and weather conditions. Check out www.hallstatt.net for accomodation and other information enjoy
