Jerusalem to Haifa?

What is the best way to get from Jerusalem to Haifa? By bus, by train? Any help would be appreciated.

Depends where in Haifa but, assuming the usual places, I would take the number 480 bus (direct, nonstop) from Jerusalem to Tel Aviv (Arlozorov bus terminal) and then the train from Tel Aviv to Haifa. If you must leave Jerusalem during the morning rush hour, I would take the Jerusalem-Haifa bus. There are other options, but I think these are the most practical.

Ramot has answered your question exactly. The only thing I would add is that if you have lots 'n lots of time, the train ride from Jerusalem to Tel Aviv is nice. You travel through the hills and it is just lovely - but slow. You will still have to change trains in Tel Aviv for the Haifa train.
