I am writing from Singapore. Am planning to rent a car from Dec 3 to Dec 10 for 1 way from Anaheim to LA (Hollywood). Please recommend car rental company for this trip. We are a group of 2 adults + 2 children (aged 10 & 12). Thank you!

Hi! I will be in NYC during July 4 week and want to see the fireworks. Ive been reading that in order to get a good spot for free viewing along the harbour you need to arrive in the afternoon and wait wait wait! I really dont want to waste my precious vacation days standing in the middle of a crowd for hours on end. What will happen if we wait until early evening to head down, say 7:30 ish. Will we still be able to stand at the edge of the crowd and have an unobstructed view? Thanks for any insight!

When I visited Sedona last year, I went to an outdoor market at the Oak Creek Factory Outlets. There was a man who had a table of sterling silver jewelry. His jewelry did not tend to be Native American. He had some very nice dragonfly charms and pendants. I know this is a shot in the dark, but I'm wondering if anyone might be familiar with him. I would like to purchase a piece of his jewelry. He told me he lived in Arizona, but not Sedona. He is a silversmith., but he had retired from another profession.

I'm coming to Seattle in mid-July and I have never been there but I would just like to find a simple boat tour of the famous Sound. Afternoon/Evening preferred. I don't need luxuries, I just want to be on the water and in a boat small enough to get a good perspective of the terrain. If its possible to get close to any animal/wildlife/bird photo ops, or if there is a stop somewhere for this purpose that would be great too.
Looking for recommendations for accommodation, restaurants, car hire and things to do which would be suitable for 3 kids under 6 years of age.
We are budget travellers which might be a bit hard in Hawaii but looking for self contained accom which is handy to most things preferably under US$200 / night.
We would like to have a good look around Oahu so car hire our best option i think. Just wondering if it is worth looking for accom on some other part of the island for a few days or keep our sightseeing as day trips?

My husband and I are flying in from South Carolina to Spokane renting a car and driving to GNP arriving Friday Sept 6. and will fly out of Spokane home the following Saturday. Right now we have reservations at Glacier Campground in a camper cabin (west Glacier) for the entire stay. My question, should we plan to stay maybe 1 night in East Glacier or is the drive back and forth reasonable? We plan to see as much as possible and try to hike at least some almost every day. Most will probably be shorter hikes and we may try part of Highline Trail but not the whole thing. So I guess I am just not sure about driving back and forth multiple times in a week is doable?? Thanks for any suggestions.

My family is planning a vacation for the week of September 21 this year. We woud love to come to Gulf Shores. We have some specific needs/wants in a house and are having trouble finding anything that will work. I was hoping someone would have some suggestions. We are looking for a Gulf front home with no less than 4 bedrooms. We would like the house to be pet friendly and have a pool and to pay no more than $3800, if possible. Does anyone have any suggestions on where we could find this? We are hoping to not have to go to another destination. Thank you!!

My wife & I are taking our daughters the Gulf shores in August. They are 11 & 8. They are interested in trying fishing, but I don't want to spend a ton of money to charter a boat, and I don't have any equipment myself. Is there a fishing pier anywhere close? Or maybe a short fishing excursion on a boat we don't have all to ourselves? Also, please provide your restaurant recommendations for a good burger place, a steakhouse, and an italian restaurant. Ok so here's the deal: A group of us are going to be in Gulf Shores in about a week. We're staying at the Boardwalk. We're going to end up being in 3 cars. My friends are worried about parking. I believe they've been told that Boardwalk only allots 2 parking spots. Any help?

I have just heard from a friend who got back that the Jellyfish and seaweed were terrible. Is this true? We are headed to Fort Morgan the first week of August for our first trip to the beach and don't want the kids getting stung. Also any suggestions of things to do and see.
Our family is headed to Gulf Shores this summer for our first beach vacation. As a child, I remember crabbing on our trips to Florida, taking the crabs back to the condo and having a wonderful meal. Is there anywhere to do this in Gulf Shores?

We're on our way to Gulf Shores for spring break with our two gradeschool boys. What's the weather like in mid-March? Will it be warm enough to swim? (I'm up in Iowa shivering in the snow and it's hard to imagine being on a beach right now.) Also, what's going on there in the next few weeks? What should we be sure to do, where should we be sure to eat? We're very interested in good local food. How's the zoo? We will be visiting the Gulf Shore area in May of `07. We have never been there before. I have been looking through the VRBO website and am thinking about booking a room for the two of us at "Golf Shores Surf & Racquet Club" or "Golf Shores Plantation". Does anyone have any input on these properties? Would you recommend we stay in Gulf Shores, Fort Morgan or somewhere else? We don't really swim or sun bathe, but we want a place where we can play golf, play shuffleboard and site see. Also, what kind of weather can we expect in mid-May? I welcome all suggestions. My fiance and I are getting married September 30, 2006. He is a huge nascar and for part of our honeymoon, we are going to Talladega Superspeedway for the truck race on 10/7/06 and the cup race on 10/8/06... Since we are already gonna be in AL, we are talking about heading down to Gulf Shores / Mobile. My question is to how everything has been rebuilt since Hurricane Katrina... Are there still things to do and is the beach nice or is it still very evident that a hurricane came through a year ago? Also, if you could give advice as to what might be good tourist attractions especially for newlyweds that would be great, as well as good hotels... Thank you in advance for responding to my question... Looking forward to hearing what you have to say....
