Hi all Anyone who have travelled from Banjul to Bissau? What way is the best to go?
Although Guniea-Bissau is one of the few countries in West Africa, that I have not been to, I am quite familiar with the region. I do not however know how to get there from Banjul. My response is more to alert you to the fact that Bissau along with their neighbor Guinea (French Guinea), have in the last decade become a major distribution center for South and Central American drug cartels, on the trail to Europe. Those two countries are amongst the poorest in the world, and despite reports that state that most of the traffic has moved to Mali, are optimistic at best. So be aware and careful in your movements while there. Just a thought.

I think the best way is to take a bus to Ziguinchor the capital of Casamance ( South Senegal)and then another one straight to Bissau. I did this too , only I stayed in Casamance for a long time before I went on to Bissau. Csamance is a beautiful region.
