Hello,
we (mother and son, 51 and 15) plan a kayak tour in naeröfjorden, auerlandfjorden, sognefjorden and lustrafjorden from gudvangen or flam to Solvorn and back on May 20 to 30 this year. We have a wooden Kayak and a Klepper folding Kayak. We ask for your advice:
-do we need helmets in the fjord because of falling rocks?
-is there a tide?
-is wind a problem for kayaking esp. in the sognefjord ? and, mainly,
-is it possible to go ashore & find place for a small tent at
1.salthella in the naerofjord
2.stokkahamaren or stokko in the aurlandsfjord (near
Beitelen )
3.Simleness in the aurlandsfjord
4.Fronningen in the sognefjord or tingastad (north shore
sognefjord)
5. Fodness in the sognefjord, at the ligthhouse, or
Aspvikane or °Aretun
6. Kinsedalen
7. Urnes
We have 1:50 000 maps of the region and dry suits and of course life suits etc.
We are thankfully looking forward to your advice,
gratefully
Susanne Gandenberger and Tobias Bachem
I'm a little bit confused. I was planning to visit a vicking village in Gudvangen. I remember that I saw a note that it is open until August 15th. fjordnorway.com/en/ATTRACTIO... But today when I decided to look for details I found this information, that it is not constructed yet. http://www.myspace.com/vikingvillage Or are these different places ? Or someone is wrong?
