Hello, I am going to take a ancient ruins tour in the month of October, my tour starts in Antigua Guatemala and will end in Mexico City. I believe I am supposed to arrive at the Guatemala City Airport and then catch a bus to Antigua. I plan on getting to Guatemala 2 or 3 days before my tour begins. If anyone has any input or advise please let me know. I would like to visit any nice places. I might be able to visit before my trip begins and what is the best way to get to Antigua from Guatemala City.
There are plenty of tours and day trips available from the tour agencies in Antigua that can occupy you for a couple days (volcanoes, ruins, markets). Or you can just relax and enjoy your surroundings and the foreign way of life. Cheers :)

You can easily leave your pack at the Visitors' Center in a small separate room for a small charge. more
