Do the spanish language schools close during the christmas period?

I'm planning on flying into Guatemala around 15th Dec this year. I just wanted to know whether it's general practise for the language schools to close during christmas. Can anyone give me some rough dates if this is so. I wanted to start a spanish course straight away but might have to wait? Many thanks Daisy
