Searching for equipment for my juice bar.

by ecdiddy Online Now May 25, 2012 at 10:34 PM

Hello everyone in this forum. I hope my questions come across with cool people. So I plan to open a juice bar in Saigon. It's my first one so my budget is tight. I just came across an idea that I can go shopping in Guangzhou to shop for most of the items I need for my juice bar. Like a commercial grade blender, juice, deep fryer etc. Am I heading towards the right direction in my search or am I falling into a trap? Should I just buy the really expensive equipment from america but made in China anyways?? Thank you everyone! Hope to hear from you guys and gals soon!

The problem you will have is that factories in China sell by the 20 foot container load! You may be able to find shops in Guangzhou that sell individual machines but you will still have to arrange for them to be freighted to Vietnam which I guess could be done by road freight. You could ask the people who run expat restaurants in GZ as they may know the locals who sell such machines. I have very good contacts if you wanted to buy large quantities but not for small quantities I am afraid. It may be easier to buy your equipment in Hong Kong where you can still buy the same quality that goes to the US.

i tried buying 2 units of a blender with 500 and 800 watts for our restaurant, forgot the brand though, and it lasted only less than a month. The problem buying here would be the after-sales service. i think taiwan would be a better option or just buy from your country
