Can someone suggest a budget accomodation in GZ ? Which is a convenient area to stay i.e easily accessible by subway or bus ?
Try to get something around Shamian Island, not only is it nice but has a very good location

From research, Zhongshan University has rooms somewhere for 100 RMB/night, and it's in a pretty convenient location near the metro.

yeah, Shamian Island is nice - like a park with colonial buildings. Stayed there at the Guangzhou YH.

hi, It really depends on what you gonna do in the city. Sha mian is nice and by the Pearl River. It locates in the south.Travelling from the south to North or East takes around one hour by bus, about half hour by subway sometimes. Many budget hotels available in defferent areas if the Canton Fair has not run.
