Hello, New member here..... I have a one way ticket to guadalajara leaving Sept 6. I planned on doing some shopping in the mercados the tequila tour and having fun at night. Am I going to get rained out ? I've been to other countries during rainy season and it wasn't pretty...Guatemala and El Salvador for example. It was almost impossible to get around when it rained. My plans were to hang out in Guadalajara a while then make my way to Mexico City (better air when it rains?) an then return home from Acapulco in late september/early october. I thought september would be ok for some reason since it's nearing the end of the rainy season...True/False? What do you guys think. Is it worth the money and effort to go through with this trip ? Hi! I am arriving at 6:30 am at Guadalajara International Airport. I want to visit Guadalajara for the day, then leave on a bus maybe around 5:00 pm to go to Guanajuato. I know I have to buy a bus ticket for Guanajuato at the New bus staiton between the airport and downtown Guadalajara. I want to assure that I get a ticket, so I thought it would be smart to take a a taxi to the new bus station, buy my ticket, then got visit downtown for the day, by taking a bus from the new bus station to downtown. Then I would return in the late afternoon by bus from downtown and leave on my bus to Guanjuato. Does that sound like I have enough time? I will also be returning to Guadalajara to fly out and will try to do the same by arriving early in the morning and visiting Will teh ticket offices be open if I arrive around 7:30 am and would I be able to buy a ticket for later that evening at that time? Hi! I am flying in Guadaljara and arriving early in the morning. My destination is Guanajuato, but I don't have to be there until the evening. I would like to go into the center of Guadalajara to see the sites. Is there a place that rents lockers for suitcases like at a bus station in the center? I understand I am to take the bus from the new bus station to go to Guanajuato, but I also understand it is out of town. Wouldn't it make more sense to store my suitcase in a locker in the center of town? But where? Or, is it a better idea to go to the new bus station by taxi from the airport, leave my bag there,buy my bus ticket for Guanajuato, and then take a bus into the center? Thanks.

Some tourism students are going to attend the summer universtiy in guadalajara and as we are spending there just 4 weeks (which is really not a long time, considered that we have school from 8am to 5pm) i am looking for some good insider tipps / Must DOs / Must Visit /good places to go (restaurants, bars, clubs..) to make the most out of the time there. maybe also some tipps about transportation (bus tickets and so on) Thx a lot! Would like to spend a month there in Jan. or Feb. and have been online looking for a 1 bedroom apartment to rent. Am not having much luck which amazes me considering the size of the city. My husband and I will be renting a car at Guadalajara airport and driving to Mazatlan in the next few weeks. We would appreciate it if anyone could give us any information regarding the road conditions, toll fees, driving times, etc., as we have never done this trip by car before. We are going to need 2 bedroom suites, patio furniture, living room, dining room furniture, in a modern style. Any suggestions where one could find this in Guadalajara ? We will be there in mid November, and expect to spend about 4 days selecting the furniture.

Hi, Does anybody know if the airport in Guadalajara has WIFI? I unfortunately have to go for a family wedding but have to push a project live on 3/23. My flight leaves at 2a and arrives in my home around 6a but to be on the safe side, I want to get those files moved before my plane departs.

We're traveling from SF to Panama via Guadalajara and Mexico DF on Mexicana. Question about the Guadalajara Airport. We arrive at 4 am at Guadalajara and then have to wait until 7:30 am to take Mexicana flight to Mexico City. Are domestic and international terminals different buildings in Guadalajara? And secondly, are airport facilities even open at 4 am? I assume we have to go through immigration and then go to the domestic facility.

Hi all, I plan to study in GDL from January to May 2009 and I´m looking for some form of housing, preferably a furnished apartment near the ITESM campus (or near a bus stop that has Tec on its route). What´s the best way to search listings? The results on Craigslist are pretty bleak, and I´m not sure which local newspapers have listings online. It´s probably too early to start looking for specific leases, but I wanted to get an idea of what´s available. Both English or Spanish listings are fine. Thanks :)

I have heard that for the next several weeks, there are no Charreadas, perhaps not until cooler weather. Is this true? We are travelling to Guadalajara June 25-July 2. All the information I have found says that every Sunday there is Charreada at Lienzo Charro de Jalisco at noon. Does anyone have any information? Ed
