I just found some limited information online about Winterfest. We will be in Munich in December and are planning a day trip to Salzburg. One of our travelers is an experienced juggler and might enjoy something like this. Is it an "open" sort of things, where you can wander the tents, or do you only purchase tickets for a specific show and there's only one thing going on at a time? From the English portion of their website it was somewhat difficult to be sure. Any guidance would be appreciated it. Opinions on whether it's worth it for the money are much appreciated as well.
It appears that many people suggest "doing your own thing" and skip the pre-packaged tours on the buses. What about the Hop On, Hop Off bus that visits each SOM site? You can get off and send as much (or as little) time as you wish at each site. The only place not covered is apparently the cathedral in Mondsee.
any have a good GPS address for close parking to the funicular.
How do we get information on rates in staying at Schloss Bluhnbach?
I have been told there is a restaurant on top of the palaceof justice and another in th municipal library, both of which are reputedly excellent and very reasonably priced. Can any one confirm this and give me an up to date report? Thank you
Hi. Can someone kindly tell me does the 840 bus leave from any where near salzburg centre or is it only from train station, the price for Adult, the price for child.
There is 5 Adults, a 14 year old and 2 toddlers under 4 is it possible to get the Bayern ticket or the Einfach Raus ticket would this cover the 5 Adults €38 and the 3 children go free or do I have to get reduced fare for 14 year old. Advice on the subject welcome.

HOW DO I GET INFORMATION AND RATES TO STAY IN SCHLOSS BLUHNBACH, AUSTRIA?
Hi, we are going to Hallstatt in a months time, but when I checked the weather forecast it showed that it probably will be raining in this part of Europe. I know weather forecasts are not reliable in this sense - 30 days ahead, let alone the climate change, etc. - but I'm already thinking of backup plans - just in case :) I was wondering whether it would still be possible to go up to the salt mine and/ or ice cave if it was raining. Do they operate the funicular in such weather coniditons? I understand that on rainy days there is no point in going up to the 5 fingers and the viewing point, but I hope that the caves still can be viewed by visitors. Could anyone confirm this, please? Or do you think it would be better if I asked the tourist center in Hallstatt via e-mail about these things? Thanks a lot for your replies in advance!
Hi everyone,
I am now in salzburg and spending 4 days (19 - 22 may) with daytours for a few sightseeings (salt mine/ice cave/lake). I will need to catch a flight on 25th which gives me 2 more days of spare time. Is there any place you wld recommend me to go which is near munich/salzburg?
I am looking to know what ages children travel free. As I have 5 adults, 1 child aged 14 and 2 children under the age of 4. I am a bit confused can I buy 1 Bayern ticket for the 5 adults and the 3 children under 15 travel free? Or do I have to buy 2 Bayern tickets? I'm traveling from Berchtesgaden to Munich. All replies greatly appreciated. :)))))
