I'm new in Groningen and want to know where are swimming pools and gyms here? If not for these places i donot have any source of exercise. Plz do let me know if anyone is aware of these.
Hi, I think a gym or a swimmingpool should not be too difficult to find.. on the Grote Markt you have a gym called Springs. And in Kardinge (take bus 6 or 3)is the largest swimmingpool. Enjoy!

Hi, I am originally from Groningen, so things may have changed. There was a gym and indoor swimmingpool in Helpman (towards south close to the Hereweg), there is also an outdoor pool called Papiermolen just outside the ringroad also accessable from Hereweg (opp. Sterrebos). Then there is an indoor pool in Paddepoel. Why don't you go have a look in the Yellow Pages of Groningen (Gouden Gids) or even go to the ANWB for most updated information?
