Weather in winter

by Francesca829 Online Now Mar 27, 2013 at 1:02 PM

Hello everyone,
I'm thinking about spending next winter in the south of crete (probably paleochora) but I'm not sure because of the weather.
I heard that from november to march is usually very rainy and cold?
I'd like to ask to cretans or people already living there what is their experience.
Thank you very much for any comment!

Best Regards.

Frances

Hi Francesca 829, it is just like you say it. It is cold and rainy. There are times that the temperature gets down the lowest can be 5 degrees C and in March it is still cold with less rain but these days for example the temperature out there can reach the 22. So it is not that bad. I highly recommend Crete as an amazing destination.

    Hi Greekcypriot,
Thank you very much for your answer!

Could you tell me more accurately what "rainy" means for you?
Es. How many days of rain in a week or month.

    Hi Brotherleelove,
    Thank you very much!
I just had a look at that site, very useful especially about rain!
Anyway It looks as if winter weather is much warmer than here (I live in switzerland)!

    Best regards
