Whale watching

by dewaardenzijngast Online Now Mar 25, 2013 at 9:03 PM

I would like to check the whales around Grand Truk but I do not want to spend $ 150,- p.p. without being sure you'll see one. Any tips for local Whale watching trips that offer the fun without ripping you off?

Which ever trip you take nobody can guarantee that you will see a whale as they are wild and will go wherever they please. I recently had a friend who went whale shark watching in a different part of the world. He failed to see any on the first day but repeated the trip on the second day and was rewarded by seeing quite a few, so it is just a matter of luck!!

You might ask the tour operator if they would give you a discount on a second trip if you didn't see whales on the first one. No one gives a guarantee, but this is certainly a reasonable question for an operator.
