I am arriving on Bahamas Celebration cruise ship to the Grand Bahama Island soon and the last time I arrived I only saw that their were taxi's availible to get to the mainland that were very expensive. Is there bus transportation from the port to the mainland that I might have overlooked last time I was there. I hear that there is bus transportation on the Island but Im not sure if it is available at the port. Please help me and my friends save a few pennies so we can have more fun with the drinks once at the mainland. Kevin
While back was at Freeport and Lucaya, no problems walking and when needed took a scooter bike for 35 USD per day, then there is a bus between port Lucaya marketplace and the International bazaar to downtown or city center area and then to West End and East End. cost about a 1 dollar to 4 for West End.
