Im considering between 2 hotels: Melia Granada is the obvious choice, but I noticed a small personally-run hotel called Posada Pilar del Toro and it had received much better reviews than some of the well-known ones despite having a star lower than they did. From the pics its hard to tell, and I was wondering if anyone has ever seen or visited this place? I am really unsure which one to choose, as surely the bigger hotel would have more info on tours, more staff around to help etc, although this other one looks like it has more character ansd shows you a bit more what the real spain is like as the locals see it opposed to how the tourists do. I'm just worried that it wont be comfortable etc..

We went from Tarifa and the tour guide comes with the ferry ticket, sure you can do the same from Algeciras. www.frs.es more
