    • On my last day in Tunis, my flight will depart at 15.35. Is it possible to visit Dougga?

      Tunis May 16, 2013 at 9:27 AM

I have my last day in Tunis, but my flight will depart from Tunis at 15.35, so can I have a-few-hour visit in Dougga (depart from Tunis by louage then taxt and must come back to Tunis city center around 12.30 before heading to the airport)?

One more question, on my first day, I will arrive Tunis about noon (12.00), so is the rest of the day enough to visit all tourist attractions in Tunis such as medina, museum, etc (not including surburb like carthage or sidi bou said which I plan to go on the next day)?

    • Is there a luggage locker service in Sousse train station?

      Sousse Apr 30, 2013 at 8:42 AM

I will take a two-day Sahara tour departing from Sousse and arriving the same place. Once arrving at night, I will take a train to Tunis. So, I would like to leave my luggage at Sousse Train Station for two days before the Sahara trip because I don't want to carry it to the desert. Is anyone know whether there is any luggage service at the train station?

Two more questions about public transportation, how can I find a route map of mini trains in Sousse and Port El Kantaoui? I don't know if the minitrains pass my hotel. And, is there public bus service in Sousse, or only taxi?

    • First time in Tunisia - any hints and Tips very welcome!!

Ile de Jerba Jan 10, 2007 at 7:30 AM

Hi There, Although most of my questions have been answered now by reading the tips on here, as it will be our first trip to Tunisia does anyone have any particular tips to share? It is a family of 4 going, my bro and I are 26 and 31 and we are all looking for lots of culture but in particular I had hoped to do some snorkelling. We are going for 1 week to Djerba from 10th March and staying in the Mirimar Palace. are there any places edspecially good for snorkelling on Djerba? Is Tunisia/ Djerba anything like Turkey for those who have been to Turkey? The comments I have read about covering up make me think so because Turkey is also well known for male attention to females. I am looking forward to trying local food - what is it like? What boat trips are on offer - I heard about a dolphon spotting one? I will leave it at this for now but any hints or tips would be greatfully received!!! Thanks all Claire

    • Dirnking water a ice cubes in hotels

Ile de Jerba Aug 9, 2006 at 3:38 AM

Hi, I know your not supposed to drink tap water and order ice cubes in your drink, avoid salads etc. But does that apply to hotels as well? My girlfriend and I are staying at a 4 star hotel.

    • Beach Quality

Ile de Jerba Jan 19, 2006 at 5:53 AM

My wife and I like the look of the Movenpick hotel in Djerba Zone Touristique and that it is on the beach. We are keeen swimmers & I snorkel but according to "Croasbeauty" he said the sea was full of seagrass/seaweed. Also that it was very shallow for a very long way out.Is this true? If so i will go to somewhere else in Tunisia where the sea is OK.

Ile de Jerba Sep 23, 2004 at 10:40 AM

Hello all, I was planning to spend a few (+/-10) days in Tunesia in September. The agency recommended me the Movenpick Ulysse palace & thalasso *in Djerba. As I'm a golfer, this seems like a good spot. Anyone any comments/suggestions/expiriences? Thanks, Koen
