I have a friend in kenya who will be exhibiting at this galerie next year. I have been searching for information as I want to arrange a trip to visit it, but cannot find anything in English. Could anyone please tell me about the venue, and how to get to it? Gouda seems to be well worth an extended visit!
hi, well that was easy: http://www.langedwars.nl/ But now in English :-) YOu will find e-mail contact, address information and a map on http://www.langedwars.nl/contact.htm It's a 15 minute walk from the train station (use www.ns.nl for train schedules). Gallery/workplace is open on Friday and Saturday 11-17 hrs, or make an appointment. While you're in Gouda, visit the Lange Jan church, with the largest stained glass window collection in Europe. Ask for Maurits Tompot to show you around. Try the stroopwafels with a cup of coffee at Tearoom van den Berg. Oh heck, you'll find lots of info on my Gouda page: "Gouda" - Gouda by ATLC Enjoy !
