Hi, I will be going to gotland this summer... I know that the festivals are from the 5th until the 12th of August... but is this the best time of the year to go to Gotland? when is the best time for parties??? Thanks very much!!! fab
I'm planning a trip with husband to Sweden next September '07. We want to spend 15 days. I'm thinking of flying into Stockholm and then on to Gotland. I was pleased to see that many of the tourists will be gone by then but I'm really looking for any ideas between the mainland and the islands that will immerse me in the country and it's history No 5 star hotels for me! Are there any 'must-see' things you would recommend so I don't totally miss out. Also, I would really like to rent a car and do this by driving ourselves; is this an easy thing? Thanks for your help! D.
Headed to Gotland for 3+ days in the very beginning of August. I was wondering if this is still considered a fun time to visit, or, if the people have all gone home. Any feedback would be most appreciated. Ha det bra. MD
Hello, I'm trying to help a japanese friend who's trying to help a friend to arrange a trip to Stockholm and Gotland and to visit the places concerning the welfare work there. This maybe should be dealt with by the pro's, but I will at least try to help.
My in-laws want to go to Gotland this summer, and they are seniors, so they would like to go with a tour, if possible, as they don't want to rent a car. Does anyone know of any tour operators that offer a, say, 5-day tour of Gotland, including transportation and hotels? I checked on the internet and have not been able to find much. Any recommendations? tour operators? resources? websites? Thanks so much!
I'm planning a cycling trip to Gotland next summer 2004. I wonder which guesthouses, b&b:s, cabins, country farms or other accommodation services (but not the hotels) are the nicest and friendliest plus can tolerate four cycklists staying only one night in one place. Has anyone tried their services?
I'll be going to Gotland and apparently it is during a week where everyone will be dressed up in medieval clothings for the party. Does anyone know about this party? What is it about.
