I'll be going to Gotland and apparently it is during a week where everyone will be dressed up in medieval clothings for the party. Does anyone know about this party? What is it about.
Yes, it's the "Medieval Week". Lucky you! I've wanted to go for years. Don't forget to eat saffron pancakes on Gotland as it's a speciality. Here's the festival page: medeltidsveckan.com/English/...

But don't eat saffron pancakes just anywhere. The Fridhem coffe house south of Visby (cheap), the Lindgården resataurant (expensive!) in Visby and the Majstregården restaurant (ordinary) down south at Hoburgen are the best. Do avoid the saffron pancake of the Warfsholm hotel in Klintehamn! It's a good hotel but they don't know how to make saffron pancake.
