My friends and I are traveling to Gold Coast for the first time in June 2013. Bought tickets already! But we haven't got any idea of where to stay! Surfers paradise is always recommended when I survey online. So SP it is. Could you please please recommend where to stay in SP? A convenient hotel or an apartment which is affordable? For 4 adults? Thank you so much for any feedback.
We have tickets for the Gold Coast theme parks and plan to take our grandson to them during April 2013, is there shuttle coach services from Sunshine Coast to the theme parks, and so avoid taking our own vehicle.
We reside in Glass House Mountains and would be able to meet a coach at a convenient location. Thanks Neil Roberts

Hi, I am fortunate enough to be visiting Australia from late Januray 2013 to mid March 2013. I know i will be travelling along the Gold Coast. I plan to travel between Cairns and Melbourne. I'm not sure whether to travel North South or vice versa. If anyone has done this journey in these months please do share any experiences you had. I've looked at the weather the seasons will bring. Wet in the north until March and cooling in the South with the end of summer. I'm curious as to the affect that the weather could have on the trip. As part of the trip is during the summer season will certain places be busier. Any advice appreciated Regards jim

Hi, A family of 8 adults and 1 toddler aged 2 yrs old will be travelling down to Gold Coast from 29 Oct to 5 Nov. We would like to know if there is any cherry or strawberry farm around this period. We will be going to theme parks (Movies World and Sea World) as well. Is there any "buy 1 get 1 free" tickets around that period? We would like to know if Mt Tamborine is worth visiting. Any recommendation on whale watching and dolphin feeding tour? So in generally our itineraries are: 1) 1 Day Movies World 2) 1 Day Sea World 3) 1 Day Harbour Town 4) 1 Day Mt Tamborine 5) 3 quarter Day Catch-a-crab 6) ??? We are thinking of cherry and strawberry farm. No we are not thinking of Exotic Tropical Farm.
i booked my holiday for a little too long and got 8 days to spare in GC. My plan was to head on first to Byron Bay which was recommended by an Aussie friend, when I said I didn't like the beaches at GC with all the tall buildings. Next 2 nights was supposed to be at GC itself near Surfer's Paradise. I had then planned to spend 2 nights at Mt Tamborine but after doing more research, it seems like that would be too long a time to spend up there. Now I am troubled if I should extend 1 more day in GC and spend only 1 night at Mt Tamborine. Or should I stick with Mt Tamborine and explore other regions like Springbrook and O'Rielly's apart from just Mt Tamborine. Or should I stick with 2 nights in Surfer's and 1 night at Mt Tamborine and then 1 more night at Coolangatta which seems to have a nice beach there called Kirra. I don't even know if I get to have a tan in winter on the beach. Will be heading there in July. Can someone advise me pls?
Hi there, My 2 female friends and I are visiting Gold Coast between 29 Jun and 2 Jul. We've only got 3 full days, hence, I'd like some advice; 1) what are the to-go places, (e.g. pubs/lounges, shopping, themeparks, sceneries etc) 2) We're also intending to participate the Gold Coast Run Marathon on 30 Jun. 3) How's the weather like during this month 4) Lastly, any recommendations with the hotels/apartments/resorts? I've heard that Surfer's Paradise has one of the nicest beaches..would anyone know if it's worth staying near there? And if it's near to the airport? Thanks a mil!
