Going to GC in May

4 of us (all are pensioners) from Malaysia are going to GC in May for 8D/6N. We had booked an apartment in Burleigh Heads.We intend to have an itenarary as below: D1 -reach Colangatta Airport at 8.00am. plan to do some shopping and marketing beacause we'll like to cook for some meals as the food in GC is so expensive. May go to Carrara market or Robina shopping centre. D2 - Sea world D3 - Movie World D4 - Currumbin Wildlife Santuary ,Surfers paradise, D5 - Brisbane Day Trip D6 - Tweed Head,Byron Bay , Cape byron and light house We'll like to seek opinions from anyone who had travelled in GC before or the GC locals whether to rent a car or to buy a "go card' at the airport and travel by public transports. Which is more convenient and cheaper? We'll like to go to Mt. Tumborine,is it good if we drive there? Thanks a lot to anybody who answer.
