One of the locals there in Goa suggested us to visit the Oldest temple in Goa which is saved from invasion because of its location in the forests.
Me and my friends visited this temple , it is around 65 kilometers from Panji. To our surprise we came to know that the temple was made in the 12th century by Hemadri the minister of the Yadava King Ramchandra.
It is a very pleasant and positive ambiance around the temple as one can realize the old architectural work. The pillars have intricate carvings within them and the walls had pictures of Brahma, Vishu and Mahesha. The entire temple is made of black basalt rock
The experience at this temple was very pleasant and want to explore more such heritage sites in Goa, can any one suggest some.

Hi I'm wondering if anyone can help.
I am currently researching whether there is a Buddhist community, Buddhist temple or a Buddhist monk anywhere in Goa? It is for a friend's wedding as she wants a Buddhist to bless them or be the celebrant.
Also....does anyone know of a sitar player in South Goa (not north?)
Any help would be so appreciated!
I always loved backpacking and travelling in india when i was younger, but now that i have a family (two children aged 3 and 5) i don't know whether its ok to go back there with them? I remember indian people being brilliant with kids and i feel like it would be an amazing experience for them - but is it safe? I don't want them to have hundreds of vaccinations. I long to revisit rajasthan but maybe somewhere like Goa or Kerala would be easier. Can anyone out there help?
This year me and my cousins have planned to celebrate Holi in Goa, it is the first ever time that we all cousins are able to turn up for such an outing. I am very excited for those water sports on Goa beaches and bike rides. The trip is planned till April 7 and hope to have great fun. But apart from the beaches, does Goa has anything special during Holi? Have heard of the Shigmo festival but not sure of how it is celebrated. Has anyone been for the Shigmo festival or celebrated holi in Goa?
What is the best beach to stay a few days in Goa
Hey there! I am from Mumbai and currently working in Goa. I live in Mapusa in North Goa. I dont have many friends here and would surely not like to be with office colleagues after office hours very often (Already see them for 48 hours a week). I look forward to meeting up new people, make friends over a drink... basically spend my evenings and Sundays well (They would surely be better than how I spend them alone) Now this may seem crazy, but its not more the merrier for me. One or two or three max for company please... :P Write back n we can exchange contact details and eventually catch up too. See you in Goa!!
Anyone want to share a taxi heading north? One pax needing to travel from Agonda to Assagao departing late morning Sat 20/01. I've been given a fare of INR 2000 which we could split up somehow, depending on your origin point and destination. If so, give me a shout and I'll send you my mobile number or we can plan over email
My wife and I will be in Goa the 26th. We want to hire a taxi for about 10 days what is the best way of doing this? Chunky.
I'm planning to be in Goa within next 2-3 weeks. Actually, I just got an email from my foreigner friend today, who offered me to join him for Goa trip. He has found an accommodation in a cheaper hostel in Arambol, so we may not need an accomodation, but it will be great to get to know what all can be seen and done in the area. Although, I went to Goa last year in December too, but didn't go to Arambol. Also, it will be great, if any of you would be in Goa then, maybe we can meetup and/or explore and enjoy together.

Hi VT wanting to hear from you who have traveled in India what vaccinations you recommend are a must have before going to India. My husband and are are thinking about traveling to Goa and Kerala area of India this February 2013. We have done quite a bit of traveling but have never bothered with vaccinations. That said we also have never been to India. Have been to Sri Lanka, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Bali and never thought twice about vaccinations for those countries and gratefully we have never been sick while visiting any of those countries. Please advice. Thanks in advance.

Hi all, I will be visiting Goa in this October. I have booked my airticket and hotel. I will be staying in Cidade de Goa hotel, i booked the romantic rendezvous package as it seems attractive to me as I will be going with my partner for a honeymoon. I have read a lot of reviews of that hotel and the general consensus is that the hotel is 'old' but generally good. I also noticed that Cidade de Goa is located near to Panaji which means it will be quite far from the happening area of Anjuna/Baga/Calangute beach. I intend to patronize Tito's club once during my stay. Any suggestion on transportation from Cidade de Goa to there and back? The hotel gave me an approximate price of cab and it's INR 1200 for four hours, but they didn't mention if it's for return trip. What is the approximate fares for available transport to Tito's club and back to my hotel? Are they safe? I planned to spend one day at dona paula's beach, one day at baga/calangute beach. Perhaps I will go for sightseeing around the town and old goa, or go for shopping. Where will you guys suggest me to go? I will only be there for 4 days and 3 nights. Is there any famous/delicious seafood around my place or further up/down? What is the minimum gaming age for casino? I heard the hotel said it's 21, but I saw somewhere on the internet it's written 18. My partner is only 20 and if it's restricted at 18, then it will be too bad for her. Please give me some suggestions.
Im going for solo trip to Goa in December and wondering if there are any people here going there as well at the same time. :) Regards
Hi everyone. Though I have been to Goa before with my friends, I want to go there once again in October this year. I have planned my trip for around 12 days - I just wanted a big break from my daily hectic schedule that is taking a toll on me :) I plan to do some good photography, I would like to meet some strangers, I plan to get drunk - and basically, I just want some time off. Well, my budget will be somewhere around 25000-30000 INR - I don't wish to spend that much on accommodation. Anyone here who can help me out on my trip - like where to stay, what to do, where to go...
