Hi there I will be in goa sometime in december for about 10 days. i want to stay in baga for a while as it looks good but also want to see other areas. do you think i should wait until i am there before i get accomodation as it seems quite cheap and i am not really on a tight budget. obviously i would like it as cheap as possible and will be looking for a good guest house or basic hotel. also would like to party but not bothered about nightclubs any more would prefer bars that open late. thanks in advance
Ahh, here is the post!! Yes, I'd recommend booking in advance for December - busiest time of the year. Baga or Calangute would be a good place to stay - plenty of restaurants, bars, etc. Don't know how you're planning to get around - renting a scooter/motorcycle or taxis? Check www.hotels.com for accommodations - you can search by price, location, etc. Let me know if you have any other questions.

hi there glad you found it. i hadnt really thought about how to get around. i would probably get taxis to places i wanted to go to. i will stay somewhere in baga so will be near the happening area. might just laze about, have a few beers in the daytime then go out at night. i will be coming from bangalore so will be quite tired when i get there. what train station do you think i should to ? i will stay in baga for a few days and then by that time i would have found another place that i like to stay there for another few days. another quick question. when i wear sun screen do i put deet on top of that or put deet on first. i know thats a random question but it just popped in my head. thanks

Here nearer to beaches like Baga beach you will get most suitable hotels and resorts as 3-star, 4-star as well as 5-star in your budget.
