Bringing food into India

by hanaflower Online Now Feb 2, 2007 at 11:18 AM

Just wondered if there are any customs restrictions around bringing food into India (like the restrictions in Australia).

Not expecting to pack a picnic(!), but we usually take dried fruit / muesli bars wherever we travel, for emergencies.

Thanks,
hanaflower

Don't really want to rely on finding a reliable supply of dried apricots when it's 3 in the morning...! Maybe you've never been caught starving in an unfamiliar place, but I like to have some back-up supplies.
