Hello, Is it possible to get to the Thistle Hotel from the Glasgow airport by public transportation or would a taxi be our best bet. There will only be two adults and we each have only one rolling bag. Thank you for your help.
Looks like there is frequent bus service to the Buchanan Street bus station which is maybe half mile from the Thistle. Check details at: glasgowairport.com/transport...

There are 2 airports in Glasgow, the International and Prestwick. From Glasgow international there is a bus that leaves every 20 minutes to Glasgow City Centre that passes by the Thistle Hotel. Check www.en.wikepedia.org/wiki/Glasgow_Airport_Link Hope this info is up to date and assists you.

I assume you mean the Thistle in Glasgow city centre? You can take the bus as referred to above, or you can either walk, take a bus or a taxi to Paisley Gilmour Street Station and take a train into Central Station. It is about a 10 minute walk from there.

If you get the bus go all the way to the Buchanan Street bus station. The Thistle is straight along Renfrew Street from the bus station at the corner of Cambridge Street.

Further to earlier answers, if you are flying from the US, then you will fly into Glasgow International (GLA). Prestwick (PIK) is currently used by only 2 airlines, Ryanair and Wizz for European flights. I would not advise walking to Paisley Gilmour Street, unless you are particularly energetic, as it is 1.5 miles away along busy roads and difficult to find if you are unfamiliar with the area. Hope this helps along with the other information you've received. Bruce
