we will be staying in Glasgow for 10 days doing family history research (Duffy and Henderson surnames)mainly in the shettleston area,is this a safe area to go or not,we have been told otherwise. thanks
I can't be a great help on this...but just in case you don't get any other replies... I recently moved away from Glasgow but lived there for 15 years. I've been out to Shettleston various times for work and never had/saw any trouble. It's maybe not the safest of places but by no means among the worst. I'm sure if your streetwise you'll be fine...no wandering around in the dark, flashing cash or wearing Rangers of Celtic colours! Hope your search is successful!
