It's about 2.5 miles so probably around 5-10GBP, depending on traffic conditions and time of day.

It would be no more than ten pounds, straight road up past the racecourse takes you to Travel Lodge, its not in the centre of the town, it is on the outskirts of town, however there are buses that go there as well.
