There has been a rock slide here and the road is closed from Avalanche Creek to Logan Pass, and it is anticipated to be open by Thursday evening, weather and road conditions permitting. This is where you can get an update: nps.gov/glac/parknews/media1...

This has been discussed before. Because such a thing would affect the vacations of others there isn't another place to post it where they might find it. Hence the question is not needed.

I see, thank you for informing me of this. However, if you go to guide lines for posting in a forum I suggest you read number 1, and to keep this to a queston as the guidlines indicate, what is the elevation of Logan Pass?

We'll have some travel alerts area set aside on the travel guides within about a month. In the meantime, we've informally let people post urgent news in the travel forum IF: it's of a timely nature and likely to disrupt travels. For example...unexpected road closure, strikes halting travel, major catastrophe etc. It's not ok, just to update about a new attraction, announcement of opening a restaurant thing to do etc.
