Glacier Park in the winter is wonderful if you're into cross country skiing. Usually around the last part of October/first part of November, the road is closed for the season. Lots of people then use the Going-to-the-Sun road as a ski access to the Park. Day trips,usually. Totally depends on the weather that day if the trip will be sunny and nice or snowy. I live within sight of the park, so if you'd like any other info-just ask. I'm not a travel agent, so you won't get a pitch from me, just opinions. Have fun!

I would really appreciate any additional information as to the best way to spend a 7 day trip to MOntana, beginning and ending in Great Falls. We'd like to see Glacier National Park and would be up for some scenic drives/x-country skiing of a mild sort, and otherwise just general peaceful quiet and pleasant place to stay. Any info?
