I would like to know how to get from Girona to Pamplona with public transport. I intend to arrive to Girona airport from Billund, Denmark, on march the 27, 23:45. I will probably stay one nigth in a hostel in Girona, and continue my travelling the next morning. Can you help me. regards Margit Nielsen
Have you considered the train ? You can get from Girona into Barcelona Sants station easily enough. And then take a train to Pamplona. If you look at www.renfe.com and input each sector then you can find the best timings.

The ever-reliable and accurate bahn.de gives train times and details: bahn.com/i/view/overseas/en/... Journey takes from around 6 hours, with a change at Barcelona Sants. The Spanish railway website: renfe.com/EN/viajeros/index.... will give you train times, details and (possibly) fares in English. You may be able to book your tickets through this site, if you wish. There is also a long-distance bus option, with a change of bus in Zaragoza, but the journey time is longer. Times, info and booking in English here: http://www.alsa.es/portal/site/Alsa

You can do a day trip to Besalù from Girona. It is a nice old village. more
