Hi there! I'm considering to travel this winter to Ghana but also read that it's elections time shortly. Anybody has idea if this can be a difficult period with unrest and such? Arriving by sea into Tema. How does one get to Kumasi from Tema and then from Kumasi to the resort? And how do you actually book rooms at this place? Can't find anywhere on line.

Normally when I go abroad, I buy some local currency before I go because my current account and credit card charge a fee for this. Is there anywhere (reputable!) that I can order Ghanaian cedis before I travel? If not - what would you advise I do? Take travellers checks and change them? I am flying straight from Accra to tamale (without going into the city) so I am worried about changing travellers checks in Tamale. My credit card is a mastercard - is it true this type of card is rarely accepted? Many thanks for your help
