Why do you want to carry can goods? You can go to a number of grocery stores in Accra. Although I have carried some specialty items, the Accra airport does not usually inspect bags - but if you bring in a load of canned goods, they will probably ask why.

Hello there, Why bringing food into Ghana? This country is so fertile that it has two crops a year and with a variety of products, if you eat every day something different you must stay at least half a year :)) And as they mentioned before, Accra and Kumasi offer you a wide range of stores selling whatever you want. No need to bring your cans, but if you want no prob the customs won’t say a thing, they’ll only thing you’re........ Have fun and enjoy your meal, Ian

My friend I think there is no need to carry along foodstuff with you to Ghana. because we have Modern Malls and shop all over where by you can buy all you stuffs you need. just in case you wish to bring something there is no limit.
