Is going during MLK long weekend a bad idea? Is most evrything closed? Or is it not so bad an idea as it will be less crowded? Does anyone know how to find list of what is open? Thanks in advance JO Massachusetts
Yes I think Gettysburg is a good to visit most times of the year you may have to deal with snow but not likely. Enjoy!

The battlefield will be open. Gettysburg (the town) will have enough shops and restaurants open. The town isn't really the draw there. It(the battlefield) is a very powerful place to visit. There won't be any crowds, as you said.
