This is the plan for the end of October this year. Is there any "must do" or "off the beaten path" things to do along the way? We will return to Frankfurt from Prague and we will have two weeks. Part of the reason we are in Frankfurt is to visit my boyfriend's family. Thank you, in advance, for you input!
We are a family of 6, 2 adults and 4 kids (4,7,10,12 years), we are planning 4 days in Dusseldorf, 4 days in Rust, 4 days in Munich and 2 days in Frankfurt, the whole journey will be done by car, any recommendations and suggestions of places and routes to take? Thanks
I will be in Dresden for two days in early June and want to buy some small lace items. Can anyone recommend me a good place to buy, preferably in the Altstadt where we will be staying or easy walking distance across the river in the Innere Neustadt?
Is there possibility to find club where can i listen to this two music styles or here noone knows about this kind of music?
Hi all,
I'd appreciate any advice on where to watch the final of the Eurovision song contest tomorrow evening (18th May). Are there any places (eg. cafe, sports bar, restaurant) in Potsdam which will be showing this event? We are visiting Potsdam this weekend and would love to get a glimpse of this year's final but the accommodation we'll be staying at doesn't have a TV... Any advice would be much appreciated!
Cheers,
Tania

Hi all, I need advice.

Is there somewhere interesting near munich or friedrichshafen that I can travel to with public transport? Its my first trip to europe, everything is new and interesting. I would be looking for a budget trip or trekking (though I only have slippers). Throw me with any ideas. Thanks!!!
Hi we will be going to Munich on 18-20th June and 23-25th June in Zurich. I heard a lot of people mentioned about going to shopping in Konstanz, Germany for good deals. I would like to know how we going there by Train? How long will the journey take? Which place is nearer to go? Munich or Zurich?

Hi, I m planning for a short trip (9 day) to Europe from USA. My plan is to visit Paris, Venice and Rome. I m coming to Berlin from US. Here is the plan. Can someone suggest me if there is better option?
Berlin - > Paris (Flight)
Paris - 2 days
Paris->Milan->Venice (Train)
Venice - 2 days??
Venice - > Rome (Train)
Rome- 3 days?
I have to go back to Berlin for the return flight. But I still have 1 day left. What is the better option to cover that day, drive from Rome to Geneva (Swiss) for scenic alps view and fly from Geneva to Berlin? Is Geneva better or Zurich? and Rome and Venice in 5 days? Is that doable? Can someone suggest me ?
Thank you
I will be vacationing in Heidelberg just for 3 days. Would taking a bus from the city to Baden Baden be the most economical versus a train and how long a trip? I dont' seem to be able to find any information on buses that travel there. Appreciate any information you might have.

I would welcome your opinion on the location of this apartment http://www.luxberlin.com/location.html. We prefer 'independent' to 'high street' and prefer to be 'visitors' rather than 'tourists'. All that said we don't want to be too far from the action. We will be spending NYE in Berlin, 7 years ago we went and we celebrated at the Brandenburg Gate which was fun but we are certainly open to suggestions if anyone knows of a better experience.
Hi Im thinking of going to a concert at, Amphitheater in hanau whilst in frankfurt in August would anyone know how much a taxi back would be
Our family of 6 will be arriving at the Warnemunde cruise terminal and would live to visit Schwerin Castle. Can we get there by public transport? The cruise ship excursions are very expensive for 6. Thanks...
I will stay in Munich just for one and a half day in first week of July.
Would you recommend me a accommodation which is convenient in transportation and clean?
My budget is below 80 Euro per a night.
Thanks!
My husband and 18 yr old son are travelling to Munich and wherever this Christmas. We fly into Munich on the 22nd Dec and will have christmas eve dinner in Munich, as well as see the markets. As everything is then closed thought of leaving on the 25th.
Iam not sure where to go to next?
We are Australians but live in the middle east so have always had a warm Christmas.
I have found a place to stay at Oberaudorf, but have to book it for 5 nights.
Then I see Garmisch-Partenkirchen is a great place to visit but will only have 3 days left as we fly out on the 2nd Jan.
I see most places are already booked out as we need a 2 bed apt or similar .
Any suggestions on an itinerary/
I would like an opinion about the track for 10 days
Landing in Berlin
2 nights in Lubbenau / Spreewald
2 nights in Radebeul
2 nights Beroun-Czech Republic
2 nights Ansfelden-Austris
2 Nights Brand-Laaben not far from the airport in Vienna
Whether in terms of interesting places (landscapes, small towns, castles) track
Appropriate or should make changes in accommodation.
Trip is in September
Thank you very much
Boris
hi, I arrive the 1st of june for 3 months (for an internship) and i'm searching for a place to live. Is there any residence for students? or is there a website to find share house, roommates? thanks a lot
Could you list all trains from Osnabruck to Stuttgart, including fares, time needed, transit station?
I'm taking dad (retiree) and three other newbies to Munich for either Oktoberfest weekend. Ideally, I'd like affordable hotel accommodations, reservations at a fest tent, and a (very) patient guide to handle a senior citizen and the million questions my group will likely throw at him/her. Since time is limited with Oktoberfest around the corner, I'm thinking it might be best to sign up for an all-inclusive tour package, but which one? I've only been able to find what looks like "frat party" tours so far. Any help is appreciated.
does anyone know of a bus service or tour bus that would be better than the train?
I would like to know how much approximately it will spend 1 month holidays in Dusseldorf in august. No need of information about accommodation costs, only about hangouts, leisure activities, shopping and of course meals.
Thanks in advance:)
Hello everyone!!
I'm planning to go to the Oktoberfest this 2013, but I'm really really lost on this, hope you can give me a hand with all my very basic questions:
When is the best time to go to avoid craziness, if possible :)
What should I book in addition to hotel??
What are the so famous "tends"?
How much money should I expect to use? Mid range drinker
I've heard it gets too expensive, would it be worth to go after the festival to avoid that?
Thank you so much for any extra info you can provide!!!!
Cheers!!!
I would like to know the timetable for the buses between Trabent and Trier because I don´t want to get the train. I can't find it in the WeB page with transports around Trier and always tells me to take the train.
Hello!
Can I purschase tickets online at bahn.de by a DEBIT card instead of a CREDIT card?
As far as I see its not possible which is really inconvinient.
OK I may ask my friend to buy it for me with a credit card, but then they have another stupid rule:
I must identify myself on the train with a credit card along with my ticket???
(they require to specify a credit card number for identification during the online purchasing process)
May I then at least use my own DEBIT card number for identification? Or does it also have to be a credit card?
Jesus Christ...
Can anyone recommend any pensions/ B & Bs reasonably close to the centre of Baden- Baden. Alternatively other accommodation up to say €75/night that is of a good standard that you have stayed in.
