Hi everyone I am looking to move to Atlanta in November and I was looking in the area of Jonesboro, Eastpointe, or College Park. I have two teen-age kids both are good in school honor students, so schools are important to me, as well as a well mix culture and a safe area. We are African Americans and would just like information on a fun safe area to live. I heard that Atlanta is a nice place to live and we just want to make it our home. Thank you everyone
Hey fellow travelers!
My wife and I have been looking into staying in Savannah for a weekend getaway and have been keeping an eye out for great places to stay. We're really interested in the bed and breakfast inn idea. I've seen some good reviews for Presidents Quarters Inn, but wanted to find out more information. Their rooms look absolutely charming and I've heard that they believe in true Southern hospititality, but I've got a few questions.
1. Is the location ideal? What are some of the great hot spots nearby?
2. What seasons/times of year should we avoid? When is the best time to stay there?
and lastly 3. What's your favorite thing about the Presidents Quarters Inn? What makes it unique?
Thanks!
Where is the closest place to Jekyll Island, GA to swim with dolphins?
I am flying from Toronto to Atlanta and would spend 3 days in Atlanta and while back to Toronto, I plan to visit some other State. Can you recommend a good state to visit with family for fun. This will be in July,2013.
When is the best and worst time of year to visit stone mountain park?
If taking the Marta from Garnett Station, where do I go to get to Piedmont Hospital?
Thanks.
Hi--I'm headed to Atlanta for a few days next week (March 18-21), and have a very light schedule of business meetings to attend to. I used to know TONS of people in Atlanta (which was nice, as I had built-in tour guides on the few occasions I visited)--but they all appear to have moved away. So, as I'm flying solo, looking on recommendations for places where a single person can eat, drink, and hang without feeling uncomfortable. Also, I've never done any touristy things in Atlanta--any specific recommendations? I'm staying in Buckhead if it matters, but hoping not to drive too much after dark (as I intend to have a drink or two). Thanks! James
i actually live in Atlanta but lots of research thought someone might have a good suggestions on a location for a wedding ceremony- small maybe 25 people, we are on a VERY tight budget, and i would love a gazebo. Does anyone have any suggestions or arear they might recommend?
it seems like im down to the area around the airport because its within my price range (60-80 a night ) and its easy to get to turner field from there. Im going by myself and am not used to a big city. Do i need to worry about walking around at night or anything? Should i just depend on taxis to get back and forth to turner field and do my exploring during the day? Does anyone have a clue how much a taxi would be from the area around the atl airport to turner field?
Is this area safe?
Im thinking of staying in Morrow, Ga for a few days couple questions 1) Is it a safe area? 2) Can i get to turner field from there without too much hassle? Also, if either is a no can someone clue me in to which parts of atl i should stay in im coming from CT and am not used to huge cities. I have a limited budget of around 60 a night cant really go any higher then that if im going to have shopping money.
Hey peeps, I am due to fly out to Detroit via Atlanta in couple a weeks, problem is now I have flight connection gap of 7.30 min between Atlanta and Detroit, coming from Europe. That's no problem as we going to catch up with some friends downtown in the meantime. Now problem arise as the lockers at the airport are out of commission, the only ones at wrap-a-bag are not there any more, or should I say the website is not responsive and telephone number is disconnected. I keep looking for storage lockers but no joy. Anybody can shed light on where I can store 2 begs for 6-7 hrs? I really don't want to lug them behind me on the MIRA to downtown.. Any ideas?? profoundly grateful for any info Valentina

What are some great nightclubs, bars, pool halls or sportsbars that are in Atlanta that anyone can recommend. Or really anything at all. It would be greatly appreciated!
I'm changing flights in Atlanta and have to get from the domestic to the international terminal. Are they connected or do I have to catch a shuttle bus? Do I have to re-enter through security? How much time should I allow? Thanks

I am reaching Atlanta North on 20th Oct'12 and shall be undergoing a Flight safety training for 10 days. I want to know what Formal & casual clothing is reqd. to be carried for the period of my stay there. Do I require a Raincoat? Would Canvas shoes be sufficient for casual outdoor visits? Should I carry any warm clothing? Thanks............
Hello, I am considering going to Atlanta, Georgia this winter break for 3 weeks, hopefully. I was wondering What are somethings I could do? Are there trains or buses you could take to nearby states or nice cities, like how you can take a train from New York to Boston. Is it possible to take a train or bus from Atlanta to any nearby state? I have two choices I could spend my vacation in New York or Atlanta, I visited New York 3 years ago. I have never been to Atlanta, any suggestions? Much appreciated, thank you

Hello, I am a student who will be studying ecology on Sapelo island this summer. Are there any other students out there who have done this and could share their experiences with me? How was it? Did you enjoy your time there?
Has anyone been to the convenience store on Sapelo island? It's called Graball country store, I think.
Delta sent all skymiles members an update on the airport. The update does not give info on people who are connecting to a domestic flight. It stops at Atlanta being the final destination. My question is are things still the same 1-Passport control 2-Get baggage 3-Clear customs 4-re-check bags to final destination The Delta message was misleading--Thanks if you have done it recently
I will only have one full day in Savannah (a Sunday). What are the "must" attractions for me to see/do ? (please don't tell me about restaurants, though, because I am not at all a "food person"). Also, what sort of things could I do in the evening on a Sunday ?

Most of my time in Downtown Atlanta has been in/out travel for business or convention time when I'm all consumed with convention events. Shopping has usually been only on other trips when I'm staying in Midtown or Buckhead. However, I'll be in the Downtown area for a week this month with a lot of down time for shopping during the day. I know there used to be downtown shops, but when I was in Peachtree Center this past September I noticed that even Brooks Brothers has moved out. Are there any upscale clothes stores left in the Downtown area or are they all gone? Thanks for your help.
