Hi I am travelling this Friday 4th from england, and arriving at gent-sint-pieters, to then get to our hotel, Novotel Gent Centrum, GOUDEN LEEUWPLEIN 5. Whats the best transport, bearing in mind all the problems with trams/buses at the moment? thanks

You can take tram line 1 to Gent Centre. The tram will not stop in front of your hotel. From Saint-Michielsplein it's not so far to your hotel. If you stay long(er) in Gent I advice you to buy a 3 or 5 daycard for the Lijn (public transportcompany) it's cheaper then every time to buy a ticket. You'll find a Lijnstore outside Station Gent Sint-Pieters on your left. Have a nice time in my favorite Belgian city. peter
